Experience Healthcare in Africa

In October 2024, I spent a month volunteering in Arusha, Tanzania. In medical work in Africa, things beyond what you can imagine happen every day. While taking part in clinical care, supporting clinicians and caring for patients with very limited medical resources, I came to feel that every healthcare professional should know about this reality. That conviction led me to found Global Medcare Africa together with local doctors. Immerse yourself in the local culture and daily life, broaden your international perspective, learn and grow through clinical work on the ground — and give something back to the local community.

An Experience Only Africa Can Offer

What you learn through medical work in Africa is something no textbook — and no clinical setting at home — can give you. You will need the ingenuity to provide care with limited resources, build deep trust with patients and local healthcare workers, and understand different cultures and values. What you learn here will not only help you grow as a healthcare professional, but also enrich your life as a person. The lessons and experiences that only Africa can offer will stay with you throughout your career.
